One of the questions we get from people who call is “What kind of houses do you buy?” Our answer is that We Buy Houses in Kansas City, little ones, big ones, old ones, newer ones. All kinds. We like to share about the house that we do buy so you can see what we really mean.
This house was nothing fancy . . . just your normal, everyday, lived-in home that need a good cleaning, some minor repair, and fresh paint. It was owned by an area landlord that was tired of the maintenance and upkeep and all the issues that go with rental property in Kansas City Missouri and just wanted cash out. We were able to help him . . . QUICKLY. He signed a sale agreement on 9/29 and we closed a few days later on 10/13.
It took us a few months to get it cleaned up and ready to sell as right there in the middle of everything we had Thanksgiving, which stopped progress for a week. Christmas and New Year stopped progress for another week and a half. And after we had it all updated, we sold it to a new home owner at the end of January.
Peel and Stick Over Laminate
The kitchen and dining area had old worn laminate floors. And rather than repair them, they had used peel-and-stick floor tiles over the wear pattern.
So new laminate floors in the kitchen and dining room were a must. Then the hardwoods throughout the rest of the upstairs need a lot of little repairs and refinishing.
We also painted and made some repairs and updates to the bathroom.
Ripply Carpeting
In the lower level, there was this big room that had been actually used as a big bedroom that had old, worn, stretched-out carpeting, which we also replaced.
We gave the landscaping a little clean-up in the front and in the back under the deck and the house was good to go.
So when you need to sell a house in the Northland of Kansas City or maybe in Gladstone, big or small, pretty, average or ugly, reach out. If you live in the house, rent out the house, or it’s your parent’s house. We can buy it, just like we bought your house, just like we bought this one from Thomas.
